Professional Career
Ross graduated with a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Law from Macquarie University in 1982 and worked as a litigation solicitor at Hunt Hunt, Mallesons Stephen Jaques, Baker McKenzie and Ellison Tillyard Callanan – working in the fields of workers compensation, common law claims, commercial disputes and building and construction disputes. In his practice at the NSW Bar he has tended to specialise in personal injury litigation of all kinds with a particular emphasis on industrial accident common law claims and workers compensation disputes.
From 2013 to 2014 Ross also worked as a sessional arbitrator for the NSW Workers Compensation Commission. Between 2018 and 2020 he was also the representative for the NSW Bar Association on the Workers Compensation Commission Users Group.
Ross has been a member of the Common Law Committee of the NSW Bar Association since 2014 and is currently one of the representatives for the NSW Bar Association on the Rules Committee for the NSW Personal Injury Commission as well as the Association’s representative on the Legal Representatives User Group with the NSW State Insurance and Regulatory Authority.
