Professional Career
Andrew has a broad practice spanning various areas of the law, founded upon over twenty years of experience. His primary areas of practice are in the insurance sector and commercial law. In the commercial area, apart from general contractual disputes, Andrew has a focus on general equity, corporations, director responsibility and shareholder disputes
In addition to statutory compensation schemes, Andrew specialises in complex occupier claims, general liability claims, and professional negligence claims and has an extensive practice in heavy motor vehicle and machinery claims, including complex technical failures, and catastrophic failures along with design and manufacturing defects.
Andrew also has considerable experience with complex coronial inquests involving issues as diverse as yachting, mining, landslides, fires and vehicle-related deaths. He has appeared in associated regulatory prosecutions. Andrew’s clients include small, medium and large corporations across a diverse range of industries, along with large general insurers, overseas underwriters and smaller boutique insurers, brokers and underwriters. He appears in all courts throughout Australia and is the preferred Counsel nationally for a number of clients.
